Ingredients

Filling

  • 225g Nadura* Meat Free Mince
  • 200g Nadura* Meat Free Burger, defrosted
  • 80g Onion, finely chopped
  • 75g Breadcrumbs
  • 15g Fresh Garlic, minced
  • 40g Tomato Paste
  • 8g Ground Flax Seeds
  • 40 ml Water
  • 4g Italian Seasoning
  • 10g Vegan Worcestershire sauce (or soy sauce)
  • 2g Freshly Ground Black Pepper

 

Smoky Glaze

  • 40g Tomato Puree
  • 0.5 g Ground Nutmeg
  • 15 g BBQ Sauce 
  • 20 ml Water
  • 15g Brown Sugar

preparation

  1. To make flax binder, mix the ground flax seed and 40ml water. Let it sit to thicken for 10 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine, Nadura* Meat Free mince, Nadura* Meat Free burger, onion, breadcrumbs, flax mix, garlic, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire or soy sauce, black pepper
  3. Mix gently to combine
  4. Transfer the mix to a parchment lined baking dish.
  5. Bake at 180°C (fan 170°C) for 18 minutes.
  6. To make the glaze whisk all the ingredients in a bowl. 
  7. Remove the loaf from the oven and brush with the glaze. Return to the oven for 10–12 more minutes until glossy, caramelized, and slightly sticky.
  8. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing.
  9. Serve with festive sides.
