Ingredients

  • 500g Nadura* Meat-Free Mince
  • 350g Canned Chopped Tomato
  • 200g White Onion, diced 
  • 175g Black Beans, cooked
  • 70g Tomato Paste
  • 15g Garlic, minced
  • 10g Avocado/Sunflower Oil
  • 3g Cocoa Powder
  • 2g Ground Cumin 
  • 2g Smoked Paprika 
  • 2g Chili Powder
  • 1g Chili Flakes
  • 1g Salt
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 350ml Water

preparation

    1. Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Sauté the onion and garlic for 3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
    2. Add the Nadura* Mince and cook for 8 minutes, breaking up any chunks with a sturdy spatula.
    3. Add cumin, paprika, chili flakes, chili powder, and salt. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to toast the spices.
    4. Stir in the tomato paste, chopped tomatoes, and cocoa powder, mixing well to combine.
    5. Add the water, bay leaves, and black beans to the seasoned mince. Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
    6. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
    7. Serve hot with rice, sliced avocado, and lime wedges on the side.
