Meatball Ingredients

  • 16 Nadura* Shish Kebabs, defrosted
  • 15 grams Avocado/ Sunflower Oil

 

Sauce Ingredients

  • 15 grams Olive Oil
  • 180 grams White Onion, finely diced
  • 15 grams Garlic, minced
  • 800 grams Crushed Tomatoes
  • 30 grams Tomato Paste
  • 4 grams Dried Oregano
  • 4 grams Dried Basil
  • 2 grams Dried Thyme
  • 2 grams Smoked Paprika
  • 5 grams Sugar or Date Syrup
  • 300 grams Vegetable Stock
  • 10 grams Balsamic Vinegar
  • 20 grams Fresh Parsley or Basil, chopped
  • Salt
  • Pepper

preparation

  1. Crumble the Nadura* Shish Kebabs into a bowl.
  2. Gently mash and shape into 30 meatballs (about 23-25g each).
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat and sear meatballs 3–4 minutes until golden.
  4. Remove and reserve.
  5. For the sauce, heat olive oil in the same pan and sauté onion until soft.
  6. Add garlic and cook for a further 2 minutes.
  7. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, herbs, spices, salt and pepper and simmer covered for 10–12 minutes.
  8. Add in the vegetable stock and balsamic and sugar. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  9. Add meatballs to sauce. Simmer gently for 6 minutes.
