Ingredients

  • 450g Nadura* Meat-Free Mince
  • 150g Brown Onion, thinly sliced
  • 150g Green Pepper, thinly sliced
  • 10g Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 5g Old Bay Seasoning
  • 15g Avocado/Sunflower oil
  • 100g Vegan Provolone or Cheddar, sliced
  • 6 Hoagie rolls, toasted
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper

preparation

  1. Heat the oil in a large heavy pan or skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and green pepper. Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened and lightly caramelised. Add the garlic and cook for a further 2 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  2. In the same pan over medium-high heat, add the Nadura* Meat-Free Mince. Break up with a spatula and cook for 4–5 minutes until heated through and
    starting to catch on the edges. Add the old bay seasoning and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
  3. Return the caramelised vegetables to the pan. Toss everything together and cook for 2 minutes until well combined and piping hot. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  4. Lay the vegan cheese slices over the mince mixture in the pan. Cover with a lid for 1–2 minutes until melted.
  5. Scoop the filling generously into the toasted hoagie rolls and serve.
