Ingredients

  • 450g Nadura* Meat-Free Mince
  • 120g Brown Onion, finely diced
  • 10g Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 400g Crushed Tomatoes
  • 45g Tomato Paste
  • 30g Ketchup
  • 15g Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 3g Smoked Paprika
  • 15g Avocado/Sunflower Oil
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • 6 Brioche Buns, toasted

preparation

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 5–6 minutes until softened. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  2. Add the Nadura* Meat-Free Mince and break up with a spatula. Cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and starting to catch on the edges.
  3. To build the sauce, stir in the tomato paste and smoked paprika. Cook for 1 minute. Add the crushed tomatoes, ketchup, and apple cider vinegar. Season with salt and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened and coats the mince. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  5. Spoon generously over the toasted brioche buns and serve with dill pickles and coleslaw.
